Mutitjulu Foundation

The Mutitjulu Foundation was established by Voyages in 2003 and helps to remove disadvantage by supporting the local communities in the vitally important areas of health, education and economic prosperity.

Guests are given the opportunity to contribute through donations. These donations are matched dollar-for-dollar by the Resort up to a maximum of $200,000 each year.

Completed projects include the construction of an elderly respite care centre, the centre allows residents to meet for help with their daily needs, receive nutritious meals and participate in activities such as arts, crafts and games, as well as providing a location of safe amenity.

Other projects undertaken include renovating the youth recreation centre, provision of materials for the local school, sponsorship of 20 community members to attend the Garma Festival in Arnhem Land to learn about festivals and eco tourism, part sponsorship of a book promoting the Tjanpi Desert weavers, and the sponsorship of four Aboriginal rangers from Imampa to attend a land management conference in Africa. Further important projects are currently under consideration.

As a client you can get involved and support the Mutitjulu Foundation by building fundraising activities into your corporate event. Consider holding a raffle or auction (live or silent) and encourage private donations. Any money delegates raise donations will be matched by the Resort.
